EPICEFOTAXIM

Sterile powder for injection For vet. use only

Each 1.048 gm vial contains:-

  • Cefotaxime sodium 1.048gm Equivalent to cefotaxime base 1gm (To obtain conc. of 100mg / ml after reconstitution)

Indications:

  • Epicefotaxim is indicated for the treatment of local and systemic infections caused by Klebsiella spp., E. coli, Salmonella spp, Serratia marcesans, Proteus spp, Enterobacter spp and many anaerobes as Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp., Peptococcus spp., and Peptostreptococcus spp.

Target Species

  • Dogs, cats, foals.

Dosage and administration:

From whole product

  • Dogs: by I.M and SC: 5ml / 10 kg body weight for 3days.
  • Cats: by I.M: 2-8 ml / 10 kg body weight for 3 days
  • Foals: by I. V: 40 ml /100 kg body weight q 12 hours for 3 days

For 5 gm vial:

  • By dissolving powder with 50 ml water for injection to obtain concentration 100 mg / ml

For 10 gm vial:

  • By dissolving powder with 100 ml water for injection to obtain concentration 100 mg / ml.

Withdrawal period:

  • No withdrawal time as the species are not used for human consumption.

Packaging :

  • 2 ,5,10 gm vial.
